Kindermusik Educator and Suzuki Cello Teacher

I grew up in a very musical family and I started my education in music at the age of 9, with the Suzuki Method in my family's music school. Soon I developed a passion for the cello, which remains with me to this day, and made me decide to become a professional musician.

When I graduated, I was keen to find a rewarding job that used my musical skills and also could bring important tools to the lives of young children. Building on my believes, the natural choice was to start my own business teaching children’s music classes.

Being passionate about music and childhood education, it was important for me to find the right music programme that children could benefit from. I always thought that I was very lucky to be able to enjoy music from an early age and wanted to share that luck with more and more families.

The Suzuki Method was always something I wanted to teach, specially being a Suzuki pupil myself and have witnessed some wonderful results by the method in very, very young children.

I started searching for a preschool music programme that could be the foundation for further musical education for chidren, before they are ready to learn a specific instrument. When I first read about Kindermusik, it really impressed me as it was much more than what I was looking for. Kindermusik is not just another music program, Kindermusik is built in strong foundations and supported by serious childhood researches. It's not about making little Mozarts. It's about developing skills in the whole child that they will carry into their adult life.

I am a Licensed Kindermusik Educator since March 2007, when I also started my training as a Suzuki Cello Teacher, by the British Suzuki Institute in London.

I am a freelance cellist and I love being part of musical groups. Currently, you can see me in the cello section of the Scottish Sinfonia Orchestra.

Music & Giggles was founded in September 2007 and has already reached more than 40 families in Edinburgh. I do hope you will come and try one of my programs, I would really like to share this musical journey with you and your child.
